Healthy Living Awaits- Real Health. Real Food. Real Living

Easy Chocolatey Dessert (free of top 8 allergens)

Who’s excited for a dessert almost everyone can eat!?! I am!

Dark unsweetened chocolate (I used 99% coco)

Fresh or frozen organic fruit or your choice (I used a berry blend of blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries. I also added some cherries too.)

Honey (may need to use if you are using pure dark chocolate like I did. If you are vegan, you can easily go ahead and add agave, but if you’re not, I’d suggest using honey since it’s a healthier option. Maple syrup could also work,  just note that they’ll all have a different sweetness.)

Easy directions- cut the chocolate into medium sized chunks and and them to a small pot to melt. Once they are partially melted, go ahead and add in the fruit and  stir together for about two minutes. Remove from stove and enjoy!

What I used

Cut chocolate

Melt chocolate

Stir in fruit and natural sweetener of your choice.

If you don’t have a dairy allergy, you could go ahead and add this chocolate tastiness into some yogurt, like my mom did. It’s a good idea if it comes out too bitter for you. Next time, I’ll add in some more honey since mine came out a little too bitter. If you’re on the GAPS, you’ll definitely need to make this recipe like this with no changes, since it’s completely sugar free. For those who aren’t on the GAPS, you could use a lower percent of coco, but it will have sugar in it.
