Top 5 Unhealthiest Cereals

Everyone has heard of breakfast being the most important and nutritious part of the day, right? So, why would you or someone in your family turn to cereal? That’s not the best idea.

If you want to stay away from sugar, high fructose corn syrup, GMO ingredients and preservatives, than stay away from cereal. It’s that simple. It’s hard enough to try to make sure everything that goes into your body is pure and healthy, so avoid the basic stuff like cereals, which are loaded with a bunch of processed unhealthy ingredients that are not going to do anything good for your body.

Now, there are ones that are a little better than the other, but they are still all very unhealthy. Sure, you found a HFCS-free cereal, but it still has sugar and GMO ingredients.

When I did research for this post, I looked at almost every box of cereal’s ingredients, and every single one of them contained BHT, which is a preservative that can cause metabolic problems which may change a person’s behavior. One of the harmful effects it can cause is hyperactivity. It could also cause tumors to grow and could cause cancer.

Now I suggest that you stay away from ALL cereals, but I will still list the 5 most unhealthiest ones to just give you an idea.

1.) Smores

Contains- HFCS, GMO ingredients, preservatives. 13 grams of sugar per 1 cup

2.) Honey Smacks

Contains- HFCS, GMO ingredients, preservatives. 15 grams of sugar per 3/4 cup

3.) Cookie Crisp

Contains- HFCS, GMO ingredients, preservatives. 13 grams of sugar per 1 cup

4.) Honey Graham Oh’s

Contains- HFCS, GMO ingredients, preservatives. 12 grams of sugar per 3/4 cup

5.) Golden Crisp

Contains- HFCS, GMO ingredients, preservatives. 14 grams of sugar per 3/4 cup

There are other harmful and unhealthy cereals such as Lucky Charms, Reese’s Puffs, Trix, and coco puffs, but I figured you got the gist of it.

I hope you found this post to be helpful and to remind you that CEREAL IS BAD FOR YOU! DON’T EAT IT!
